A new standardized training program for nursing assistants is set to begin in Saxony in March 2027. The health minister hopes this will help reach new target groups in the search for nursing staff.
Starting in August, more than 2,000 candidates will take the entrance exams for academic healthcare professions in Saxony. Most of them want to become doctors.
