Saxony's culinary treasures are conquering the world: at the world's largest agricultural trade fair, which starts in just under a week in Berlin, regional specialties will meet an international audience.

Saxony's agricultural and food sector will be represented by 39 companies and associations at this year's Green Week in Berlin (January 17 to 26). At the world's largest trade fair for food, agriculture and horticulture, 14 fully or partially organic-certified companies will be presenting their products, innovations and specialties to a wide audience, according to the Saxon Ministry of Agriculture. Twelve exhibitors are taking part for the first time.

"I am delighted that the diverse culinary delights from Saxony will once again be prominently presented at the Green Week," said Georg-Ludwig von Breitenbuch (CDU), Saxony's Minister of Agriculture, in Dresden. Agricultural products from Saxony stand for quality, regional added value and excellent taste.

The Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS) is once again responsible for organizing and supporting Saxony's presence at the trade fair. Its Managing Director, Thomas Horn, is expecting several hundred thousand visitors and numerous exciting encounters.

Focus on dialog and exchange

The "Green Week", which was first held in 1926, sees itself as a platform for direct exchange with consumers. At the same time, it offers the food and agricultural industry an important opportunity for dialog. According to the ministry, Saxony's presence at the trade fair is co-financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget adopted by the Saxon state parliament.
