From 2026, many EnviaM customers will pay less for electricity, gas and heating energy. However, the supplier warns of price fluctuations in the future.

The prices for electricity, natural gas and thermal electricity for customers of the eastern German energy supplier EnviaM and Mitgas are set to fall again at the turn of the year. This is due to falling costs for energy procurement and grid fees, said Chief Sales Officer Wolfgang Wirtnik. The new prices will come into force on January 1, 2026.

However, greater fluctuations are to be expected in the future, Wirtnik emphasized. The procurement strategy therefore remains long-term oriented with a lead time of up to two years.

Noticeable savings for electricity and gas customers

For private customers, electricity prices in the basic supply will fall by 5.97 cents gross per kilowatt hour to 31.94 cents. For commercial customers, they will fall to 30.21 cents per kilowatt hour. The average private customer with a consumption of 2,000 kilowatt hours will therefore save 96 euros (11 percent) per year, while commercial customers will pay 333 euros (14 percent) less.

The new electricity prices apply to around 650,000 customers in Mitnetz Strom's network area in parts of the federal states of Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.

Natural gas prices are also falling: for private customers, they will be reduced by 1.07 cents gross per kilowatt hour to 13.07 cents. A household in the basic supply with an annual consumption of 18,000 kilowatt hours will save 160 euros (six percent) as a result. The price changes affect around 50,000 private and commercial customers in the Mitnetz Gas grid area.

Reductions also for heat pump and heat storage electricity

EnviaM is also reducing the prices for heat pump electricity by 4.08 cents gross to 25.49 cents per kilowatt hour. The prices for heat storage electricity will be reduced by 3.53 cents to 25.39 cents in the low tariff and to 33.58 cents per kilowatt hour in the high tariff. This will lead to an average saving of 222 euros (eleven percent) for heat pump customers and 201 euros (eight percent) for heat storage customers. The new prices apply to around 50,000 heat customers in the Mitnetz Strom grid area.

EnviaM supplies around 1.1 million customers in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Brandenburg with electricity, gas or heat.
