Little Snowy from GDR children's television is growing beyond himself. In a special exhibition at the Pirna City Museum, the popular puppy figure can now be seen in XXL format and can be used as a selfie point, the museum announced. The original Struppi is also on display. The hand puppet is part of the Pirna museum's collection, but can only be exhibited temporarily for conservation reasons.
Special exhibition on display until mid-October
In order to offer visitors a permanent equivalent to touch and take selfies with, Ivelina Angelova, curator of the current special exhibition, had the idea of creating an oversized Struppi. Illustrator and designer Anja-Katharina Halbig was commissioned to do this. The Big Snowy now stands in the foyer of the museum. The current special exhibition "Are you all here? Kasper, Struppi and their friends" is open until October 19.
