Science City Jena has signed Jemarl Baker Jr. The 28-year-old American is coming to Thuringia from the second-division basketball team Eisbären Bremerhaven. Jena’s new head coach, Steven Esterkamp—who worked with Baker at the Eisbären last year—was also a strong advocate for signing the versatile guard.
“Jemarl has a great personality and is a perfect fit for the style of play we want to cultivate. He’s versatile on offense and makes good decisions when he has the ball. I’m looking forward to working with him for another season,” Esterkamp said in a club statement.
