Farmers have disrupted traffic at the German-Czech border in the Erzgebirge district with partial blockades as part of the nationwide farmers' protest. "Some vehicles are being allowed through," a police spokeswoman said on Monday. However, there are currently no traffic jams. The police are on site with emergency services.
The farmers' protests are directed against cuts to agricultural subsidies. The German government announced on Thursday that it would withdraw some of these cuts. But that is not enough for the farmers.
