The discounter Lidl is recalling "Butterwaffeln mit Syrup" in the 560 gram pack due to possible metal parts in the product. Due to the possible risk of injury when eating the product, customers should be aware of the recall, reports the portal lebensmittelwarnung.de. The recall therefore applies to almost all German states.
Butter wafers can be returned
According to the information provided, the batches with the best-before dates 09.12.2025, 15.12.2025, 16.12.2025, 17.12.2025 and 22.12.2025 from the Dutch supplier "Biscuit international" are affected.
The butter wafers were available in the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein. They could be returned to all Lidl stores.
