The Dutch food wholesaler Heuschen & Schrouff Oriental Foods Trading B.V. is recalling certain packs of the product "Samyang Instant Noodles Spicy Chicken Carbonara Cup". Current investigations have shown that the product has an increased glycidol content, the company announced.
A health risk cannot be ruled out with absolute certainty, it said. Customers are asked not to consume the product.
According to the Federal Office for Risk Assessment, glycidol has been classified by various scientific bodies as probably carcinogenic to humans.
