Due to foreign objects made of red plastic, the Thuringian company Sales & Service Aktuell GmbH advises against consuming its sliced smoked processed cheese. The cheese was sold in Rewe supermarkets in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Thuringia, and Hesse, where it has been removed from shelves, as reported by the website lebensmittelwarnung.de.
Which batches are affected?
The affected product is the 175-gram package from Sales & Service Aktuell GmbH with expiration dates of August 17, 22, and 24, 2026. The plastic particles can range in size from 0.5 to 10 millimeters. A health risk cannot be ruled out with absolute certainty if swallowed.
