The new summer flight schedule starts on Sunday - but there are no major innovations. Instead, the airports are focusing primarily on the tried and tested.

The 2026 summer flight schedule at Leipzig/Halle and Dresden Airports is comparatively small. New destinations are few and far between, with the offer focusing primarily on existing vacation connections. The flight schedule comes into force this Sunday (29 March), as announced by Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG.

Few destinations at Leipzig/Halle

Only one new destination, Bodrum, is on the schedule from Leipzig/Halle. The Turkish coastal city will be served once a week from the end of June. Otherwise, connections to classic vacation regions around the Mediterranean and to North Africa will remain the same. The most frequently served destinations include Antalya (Turkey), Mallorca (Spain), Heraklion (Greece) and Hurghada (Egypt).

Dresden continues to focus on tourism

New connections are also rare at Dresden Airport. A new connection to Bolzano in South Tyrol will be offered twice a week. At the same time, the service to Mallorca is being expanded. Overall, the airport continues to focus primarily on tourist destinations in Europe and neighboring regions.

Both airports also remain connected to international hubs via individual connections. These include Frankfurt, Istanbul, Vienna and Zurich, which travelers can use to reach other destinations worldwide.

Multiple previous destinations no longer available

Compared to the previous year, when several new connections were added, only a few new destinations will be added in the 2026 summer flight schedule. Some previously offered routes - such as to Tirana (Albania), Bucharest (Romania), Skopje (North Macedonia), Debrecen (Hungary) or Faro (Portugal) - are no longer included in the current flight schedule.
