The Free States of Bavaria, Saxony and Thuringia want to work more closely together to solve more problems. Markus Söder spoke of a "bratwurst connection" in view of the culinary similarities.
Bavaria was the first Free State among the federal states, followed by Saxony and Thuringia. All three want to cooperate more closely in future - probably also against the backdrop of recent election results.
