Over 3300 birdwatchers took part in the bird count in Saxony at the beginning of May. House sparrows, starlings and great tits were the most frequently seen birds.
The Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (Nabu) Saxony has called for the annual bird count. During the nationwide "Winter Bird Hour" from January 5 to 7, birds can be counted for any hour and reported to Nabu.
