German international Franz Semper (seven goals) and Lukas Binder and Moritz Preuss (six apiece) were the team's best scorers and played a major part in the success of the team in twelfth place in the table.
In Potsdam's Arena am Luftschiffhafen, the Saxons set the pace from the outset and were able to exploit the numerous technical mistakes made by the newly promoted club. After a quarter of an hour, the visitors had already doubled the number of goals and led 10:5.
