Cup winners RB Leipzig will have to do without captain Willi Orban for several weeks. The club announced on Tuesday that the defensive chief had suffered an injury to his right knee while playing for the Hungarian national team. The exact diagnosis was not mentioned. The talk was of a break of about ten weeks. Orban had been substituted after 60 minutes in Hungary's test match against the Czech Republic (1:1) on Sunday. National coach Marco Rossi had initially only reported "tired legs" at the center back.
With this, Orban is already the second key player who returns injured from the international break. Last week, playmaker Dani Olmo had also injured his knee in a press knock. Leipzig communicated that the Spanish international must sit out at least in the current week with the training and "in the consequence some plays will miss".
For Olmo stand for the Bundesliga game on Saturday (15.30 clock/Sky) against FC Augsburg three alternatives ready. The Austrian Christoph Baumgartner, the Portuguese Fabio Carvalho and the Swedish veteran Emil Forsberg can take the role of the 25-year-old. For Orban, French newcomer Castello Lukeba or international Lukas Klostermann could move into the back four.
