RB Leipzig's B team initially has no problems against Meuselwitz. But the regional league team then put up a cheeky fight.

RB Leipzig won their test match against ZFC Meuselwitz 3:1 (3:0). RB took the lead in front of around 350 spectators at the training academy through Faik Sakar (7th minute), before Amos Gerth (15th) and André Silva (25th) increased the lead. Tim Kiessling (74) reduced the deficit for the Thuringian visitors after the break.

Marco Rose's team, who currently have 16 RB players available during the international break, started with the professionals Leopold Zingerle in goal, Lukas Klostermann, Silva, Kevin Kampl and new pro Viggo Gebel. The rest of the squad was filled out with U19 players.

Amadou Haidara, who suffered a concussion in the game against Leverkusen and subsequently canceled his national team trip to Mali, was not in the squad. However, he watched the test, as did Xaver Schlager, who is still sidelined after tearing his cruciate ligament.

After the changeover, the north-east regional league side, who have just one win and two draws to their name after six matchdays, became a little bolder. ZFC coach Georg-Martin Leopold's team rewarded themselves with a goal from Kießling. The Saxons did not concede any more. RB had to make early changes as Amos Gerth and Faik Sakar had to leave the pitch with injuries. Rose continued to make lively changes in the second half.
