Innovations from Saxony for hospitals and surgeries will be the focus of the international healthcare industry in the United Arab Emirates next week. From February 9 to 12, 18 companies from the Free State of Saxony will be exhibiting at the World Health Expo (WHX) in Dubai, as announced by the Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS). This appearance marks Saxony's 20th participation in one of the world's most important trade fairs for medical technology.
The former Arab Health is appearing under a new name for the first time this year and will become World Health Expo after 50 years. As a trade hub between three continents, Dubai offers "the best conditions for finding new customers and partners and opening up new markets", said WFS Managing Director and Expo organizer Thomas Horn.
Software from Mittweida in search of customers
For some companies, the trade fair is a fixed date in the calendar. In addition to acquiring new customers, Dubai is also an opportunity for many to meet existing customers from Asia and the Arab world.
Meso International GmbH from Mittweida will be attending for the first time. The company develops software for medical documentation. "Meso stands for medical documentation that does not fail in everyday clinical practice due to technical complexity," said Managing Director Ruben Schwerin. The aim is to promote digitalization and networking in hospitals. The Middle East is a strategic growth region for Meso.
World market in focus: Saxony showcases medical technology for tomorrow
In total, more than 4,500 exhibitors from over 150 countries are expected at WHX. New solutions from the fields of medical technology, diagnostics, orthopaedic and physiotherapy technology as well as consumer goods and consumables will be on display. The Saxon joint stand is organized on behalf of the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Protection.
