More flu cases in Thuringia again at the start of the year

At the start of the new year, the number of flu cases in Thuringia has risen significantly again. In the first calendar week, 363 new cases of influenza were reported, according to the Ministry of Health. In the previous week, there had been 203 new cases.

A total of 1,816 cases of influenza have been counted in Thuringia since the start of the current season at the beginning of October, which have been confirmed by laboratory diagnosis. 387 patients have been hospitalized for influenza so far.
