Leipzig Zoo will continue to work on its modernization projects next year. Admission will be more expensive for visitors.

Leipzig Zoo is raising its prices again next year. At the start of the season on March 21, day tickets will increase by one euro to 23 euros for adults and 15 euros for children. The family day ticket will cost 61 euros in future, as the zoo announced.

Annual tickets will already cost more from January 1. The annual family ticket will then cost 235 euros instead of the previous 225 euros. Annual tickets for children will rise from 55 to 58 euros, and adult annual tickets from 85 to 90 euros.

The zoo had only raised prices this year. Zoo director Jörg Junhold explained that they had been looking for alternatives for a long time to avoid having to take this step this time. However, the increased costs in all areas left no other room for maneuver.

Next year, the zoo will continue to work on several construction projects. These include the construction of the "Tierra del Fuego" water world and the construction of the "Asian Island Worlds". In addition, the renovated terrarium is due to open in 2025.
