Due to low water levels, the Elbe ferries in Dresden were out of service. Now they are running again—earlier than expected, according to the transit authority.

Thanks to the rain, ferries are once again operating on the Elbe in Dresden. “Our ferries in Johannstadt and Laubegast have been able to cross the Elbe again since this morning,” the Dresden Public Transportation Authority announced on Tuesday morning. This is earlier than our experts had predicted. At both locations, the boats had been moored at the shore since Saturday due to low water levels on the Elbe.
