Ahead of the announced farmers' protests in Saxony, the hospital association is urgently requesting consideration for medical staff. Especially in rural areas, road closures could create considerable challenges for hospitals and emergency services, the society announced on Thursday. Hospital staff and emergency services must be allowed to pass through blockades and roadblocks. Otherwise, there could be serious dangers for the sick or people in need.
From 8 January, there could also be farmer protests in Bavaria, which are supported by other professional groups. They are directed against the federal government's plans to cut subsidies for agricultural diesel, for example.
