The wave of colds can also be felt in concert halls. It's not just the audience that is thinning out, artists have also caught it.

The rock band Silly have had to interrupt their current "Elektroakustik Tour" due to illness in their own ranks. "Dear fans, unfortunately the current wave of colds has now also caught up with us, so that we have to postpone the next six shows to other dates, much to our regret," the band announced. This affects performances in the evening at Dresden's Kulturpalast, on Wednesday in Potsdam and on the following days in Bautzen, Zwickau and Hof as well as again in Dresden on February 24.

Silly tour ensures full halls

According to the band, all tickets remain valid. Information about alternative dates will be provided soon. The tour has so far proved to be a complete success with full halls. On stage are keyboardist Ritchie Barton, guitarist Uwe Hassbecker and bassist Hans-Jürgen "Jäcki" Reznicek as well as singer Julia Neigel and former City frontman Toni Krahl. In addition, the band had strengthened itself with drummer Ronny Dehn and Hassbecker's son Daniel, who also mixes new tones into the Silly sound with accordion and cello.

The band's songs appear in a new guise

"In contrast to a normal rock program, we use different instruments," Reznicek said on the sidelines of the tour. In addition, the songs are arranged completely differently in places. "With some songs, most people don't even realize what it's all about at first. It's only clear when the vocals start."
