Financially, the MBC isn't in the top league. As a result, despite all efforts, the team's top scorer cannot be retained.

Basketball Bundesliga team Syntainics MBC is losing Charles Callison, its most prolific scorer in the club’s 20-year history. The point guard cannot be retained. ““It was not financially possible for us to make an offer that would have done justice to his performance and his market value,” said sports director Silvano Poropat, adding: “Over the past few years, Charles has won a place in all our hearts with his humble demeanor and athletic skills, and he has done a great deal for the club.”

With 1,655 points, he was the club’s all-time leading scorer, and with 609 assists, he was also the club’s all-time assist leader. Now, after 152 games, his time at MBC has come to an end.

After the Bundesliga season ended in May, Callison helped out the Israeli first-division team Ironi Kiryat Ata, where he contributed 39 points, 17 assists, and 15 rebounds in four games to help the team avoid relegation from the Winner League. Now the American is looking for a new challenge, as the MBC—with the support of its majority owner Christian Zeidler—had repeatedly pushed itself to the limit to keep the fan favorite.
