Preparing for the action

Before going to Berlin, people should form a group to protest together and support each other. These groups are called "affinity groups." There is also a Telegram group where you can meet other activists.

Procedure of the mass occupation

On the day of the action, the reference groups meet near the street to be occupied. A signal will be given once traffic is stopped, and then the occupation will begin. There will be music, speeches, and a colorful program.

Legal aspects

The activists stress that the mass occupation is peaceful and protected by the German Assembly Law and Article 8 of the Basic Law. If asked by the police, one should leave the street. If one decides to stay, there is a possibility of being evicted by the police.

There is also legal support from the "Legelteam", which helps with legal issues and consequences. An Investigative Committee (EA) is available 24/7 to provide support if someone is arrested by the police.
