Yesterday, a traffic accident occurred on Augustusplatz in Leipzig in which a 13-year-old boy was slightly injured. At around 3:45 p.m., a streetcar driven by a 62-year-old German woman was traveling from Johannisplatz to Augustusplatz when the boy tried to cross the street.
Although the streetcar passed through the intersection when the light was green, it collided with the child. The collision caused the boy to fall and sustain minor injuries, which were treated as an outpatient by the emergency services.No property damage was caused. The police have opened an investigation into negligent bodily harm.
