Taking medical advice via video consultation has become somewhat more common again in Saxony. After a decline in the years following the coronavirus pandemic, the number of billed video consultations has recently risen again, as the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians in Saxony announced on request.
In 2021, there were around 67,600 such patient contacts in Saxony. In the following year, the figure was just under 51,900, then around 56,600 in 2023. Last year, the number climbed to 73,600. No valid data is currently available for 2025.
