In the Ilm district, a man had a car chase with the police. The officers found drugs in the stopped car and discovered other offenses.

Driving without a license and on drugs: a driver from Saxony tried to escape the police in the Ilm district. The officers wanted to check a car with Czech license plates in Ilmenau early on Sunday morning, but the driver ignored the stop signals and fled. According to the police, the pursuit finally ended near Stadtilm.

There, the officers discovered that the 45-year-old did not have a driver's license and was under the influence of drugs. In addition, the car was not registered and the license plates could have been stolen. Further drugs were found during the search of the vehicle. The car was seized and several criminal proceedings were initiated against the man.
