The security authorities in Germany are also investigating the crash of a cargo plane that took off from Leipzig on behalf of the postal service provider DHL. They are "in close contact with the authorities involved in Germany and abroad in order to clarify the facts as quickly as possible", according to German security circles.
The cargo plane crashed in the early morning near the airport in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius. At least one person was killed, according to police and rescue services.
