After their first win of the new third division season against newly promoted Havelse, coach Jens Härtel's team got off to a good start. Thanks to Julian Günther-Schmidt (12'), they scored their first goal with a shot from distance. The duel between the two neighbors in the table, who had each started the season with a win, a draw and a defeat, was on an equal footing for half an hour. It was a mega blunder by Aue's Ryan Malone, who played the ball to his opponent near the penalty area, that gave FCS the lead: Brünker headed in a cross from Pick (33').
