Ole Werner is expecting a high-intensity game at table rivals VfB Stuttgart. It doesn't matter at all that the Swabians have little time to recover after the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie against FC Porto (1-2). "The game won't have any major impact. Stuttgart are used to this rhythm. It will be a fast game either way, if only because of the style of play of both teams," said RB Leipzig head coach Werner ahead of the Bundesliga clash between fourth and fifth-placed Leipzig this Sunday (7.30pm/DAZN).
VfB offense with "experience and coolness"
He also warned of the VfB attack. Deniz Undav has already scored four goals in four RB duels. "We're facing an offense that has experience and a cool head. It will be our job to prevent them from scoring so many goals," said the coach.
RB are unbeaten in five Bundesliga games and want to book their ticket to the top flight. "I was told that it's been five years since RB Leipzig had this number of points at this point. That shows that the lads have worked well. Now, at this stage, it's about getting little things on your side. You'll only be able to do that if you're one hundred percent with yourself and block out everything around you," said Werner on the final spurt of the season.
