The 20-year-old Dutchman is borrowed without purchase option from Paris Saint-Germain. Rose nevertheless hopes that Simons will stay longer in Leipzig. "Maybe he will take an example from Dani Olmo, who is now growing into the role of absolute leader with us," the coach said. Olmo had extended his contract in Leipzig until 2027 despite requests from big clubs.
Despite the good start to the season with two wins from three games, Rose warned that the team was still in a process after the upheaval.
