Second division soccer club Hertha BSC is considering filing a complaint with the police due to offensive graffiti on the club's office. The Berliners confirmed this on request. Pictures of the graffiti were circulating on social media. Hertha have since had them painted over.
The graffiti included the words "Dynamo is coming!" and, in addition to insulting words, also addressed to Hertha: "Get more tickets out, otherwise we'll be kicked out!". Several media outlets reported on the incident.
On November 1, the capital city club will host league rivals Dynamo at the Olympiastadion (1:00 pm/Sky). According to the club, Hertha has made an increased contingent of more than 11,000 tickets available to the Saxons for the match. More tickets cannot and must not be given to Dresden, according to the Berliners. Dynamo has been asked for a statement on the incident.
In view of the atmosphere between the two fan camps, the match is considered a high-risk game. The police will therefore be in greater demand this weekend. Union (against Freiburg) and Hertha play at home on the same day, which is normally avoided for security reasons.
