The Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have to pack their bags in the first main round of the DFB Cup. Coach Jonas Stephan's team will face second-division side SG 99 Andernach, who finished eleventh last season. The game will be played between September 27 and 29. The final will traditionally take place in Cologne on May 14, 2026.
Bundesliga side Carl-Zeiss Jena do not have to travel quite as far. The Thuringians will face fourth-division side Chemie Leipzig. The women of regional league side 1. FC Magdeburg will host Bundesliga promotion contenders Hamburger SV.
