The relegation-threatened handball Bundesliga club SC DHfK Leipzig has extended the contracts of both left wingers Lukas Binder and Tom Koschek. The 33-year-old captain Binder has been playing for the Green-Whites for 16 years, making him the longest-serving DHfK player.
"Lukas has helped our team score points with his strong performances in recent weeks. He is a very reliable shooter and a player who gives his all in every training session and in every game," said Head Coach Frank Carstens. Both contracts are valid regardless of the 1st or 2nd Bundesliga.
In addition to the experienced Binder, Leipzig also continues to rely on promising player Tom Koschek, who moved to Leipzig on loan from VfL Gummersbach last summer. The 19-year-old left winger comes from the youth ranks of TSV München-Allach and signed his first professional contract in Gummersbach. He moved to Leipzig on loan in the summer of 2025 and has now extended this for a further year.
