RB Leipzig to be without new signing Reitz for several weeks

RB Leipzig will have to do without new signing Rocco Reitz for several weeks. The midfielder suffered a muscle injury in his left thigh during training with the Bundesliga club, the club announced. The 24-year-old had transferred to Saxony from Borussia Mönchengladbach this summer for 20 million euros.

Reitz had missed parts of preseason training due to the effects of a severe infection. Nevertheless, Reitz was in the starting lineup for the Bundesliga opener against his former club, Gladbach, and scored the final goal in the 3-0 victory.
