Erzgebirge Aue is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a special ceremony. A colorful, feature-length program is promised.

FC Erzgebirge Aue is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a special ceremony at the stadium on March 4. "All venues in the immediate vicinity are limited in their capacity. As a friendly club, however, we don't want to celebrate our anniversary with an elite circle of selected guests, but with all members, fans and partners," said FCE President Thomas Schlesinger in a club press release, "everyone should have the opportunity to congratulate the club and attend the ceremony. That suits us better."

All members, fans and guests will be entertained for around 90 minutes at what the club describes as the "biggest birthday party ever in the Erzgebirge" with a colorful feature-length program, which will end with a large fireworks display at 7:46 pm - 1946 is the year the club was founded.

Ahead of this, all teams and departments will march in and the eleven of all time with the legends on the pitch will be announced. Greetings from all over the world and film reviews will round off the event.

The year of foundation also plays a role in admission. Children aged six to 14 pay 1.90 euros, adults 4.60 euros. In order for the big event to take place on March 4, the club has requested that the away game at 1860 Munich be postponed to March 3.
