The ILA aerospace exhibition showcases innovations from the aerospace industry. It is no coincidence that the East German state premiers are meeting there.

The state premiers of the eastern German states are meeting today on the sidelines of the International Aerospace Exhibition Berlin (ILA Berlin) to discuss better conditions for industry and transportation. Among the topics they plan to discuss with the federal government at the special conference at BER Airport are strengthening the aerospace industry and expanding drone technology, for example at former NVA military airfields. They will also discuss improving rail connections and increasing the number of long-haul flights at BER.

Federal Transport Minister Patrick Schnieder (CDU) and the Commissioner for Eastern Germany, Elisabeth Kaiser, are also expected in Schönefeld. Following a press conference (1:45 p.m.), the heads of the eastern state governments plan to take a tour of the ILA grounds.
