With flags and banners, around 70 people protested on Thursday evening because of an AfD party event in a Dresden restaurant. The demonstrators were to be assigned to "the left-wing spectrum," the police said on Friday. Attempts by officers to make contact were ignored by the participants. To prevent a clash of the two camps, police officers positioned themselves, among other things, at the entrance to the restaurant.
When the guests of the AfD meeting finally left the restaurant in the Löbtau district, they are said to have moved away in different directions. According to the information, the police currently have no criminal charges on the part of the organizers. Regarding the protest action, police are investigating a violation of the Assembly Act.
