How expensive is refueling in Saxony at the moment? A new analysis shows where Saxony stands - and where drivers pay significantly more.

Fuel prices in Saxony are currently in the midfield in a nationwide comparison. This is shown by a current ADAC evaluation based on a snapshot taken late this morning.

Saxony in the midfield for Super E10

A liter of Super E10 costs an average of 2.045 euros. This puts Saxony in the middle of the pack in a nationwide comparison. Filling up is more expensive in Brandenburg (€2.078) and Bavaria (€2.064), for example, while it is cheapest in Bremen and Saarland at €2.026 each.

Diesel slightly above average

Saxony is slightly above average for diesel. A liter costs an average of 2.185 euros. Diesel is particularly expensive in Bavaria (€2.212) and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (€2.193), while North Rhine-Westphalia has the lowest prices at €2.148 per liter.

Morning snapshot

The values collected are from 11.00 a.m. and are therefore typically below the daily average. The background to this is a new regulation according to which petrol stations are only allowed to raise their prices once a day - at midday. Prices are usually at their lowest shortly before this time.

West and city states often cheaper

According to ADAC, filling up is generally cheaper in the west and in city states. A higher density of petrol stations there usually leads to more competition and lower prices.
