Police found an injured man and a dog on the hard shoulder of the highway 4. The 36-year-old was disoriented and, according to police, "could not conclusively explain" how he got onto the highway. A quick test also revealed that he was under the influence of narcotics. The man was taken to hospital, while the dog was handed over to an animal shelter.
Several callers had informed the officers about the injured man and the dog on the A4 between the Siebenlehn and Berbersdorf junctions on Saturday afternoon. One witness stated that the man had been pushed out of a car that had stopped on the hard shoulder. Further details are still unclear. The police are publicly looking for further witnesses.
