The tour guides' explanations at Wackerbarth Castle will soon be translated in real time—a plus for international guests.

The Saxon state winery Schloss Wackerbarth in Radebeul plans to soon incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into its guided tours. According to the winery, this will enable the tour guides’ explanations to be translated live for international guests. In addition, guests with hearing impairments will be able to stream the audio directly to their own hearing aids. The text will also be available to read on smartphones.

The winery received an award for its new guided tour concept at an international innovation competition. There were a total of over 200 entries from 30 countries. According to the information provided, Wackerbarth won in the category “Accessibility: Wine Tourism Experiences for All.”

The content of the tours will also be realigned: Starting in 2027, the demonstration vineyard will focus primarily on the grape varieties that are characteristic of Wackerbarth Castle and Saxony. Until now, numerous international grape varieties have also been on display.

According to reports, 240,000 people visit Wackerbarth Castle each year. Wine and sparkling wine tours are offered daily.
