After several difficult years, the East German construction industry is on the upswing, at least selectively. In the first three quarters, the total order volume from January to September 2025 amounted to more than 16.8 billion euros, an increase of 16.3 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the Construction Industry Association East. However, this was due more to individual large-scale industrial projects in the state of Brandenburg than to a broad-based upturn, explained the association's Managing Director, Robert Momberg.
