Near Dresden, a truck damages an overhead line on the railroad line between Berlin and Dresden. Trains have to be rerouted and are therefore delayed.

Deutsche Bahn passengers traveling between Berlin and Dresden are facing delays due to an accident. A truck touched an overhead line on the long-distance line while crossing a level crossing in Großenhain (Meißen district) this afternoon and severely damaged it, a railroad spokesperson told the German Press Agency.

According to the railroad, intercity trains are being diverted via Riesa and were therefore delayed. Eurocity trains are running more slowly in the Großenhain area, but on schedule. Technicians were working on site to repair the overhead line. It was not initially possible to predict when the damage would be repaired. Travelers on the route should check their journey online or in the rail navigator.
