Xavi Simon's goal in RB Leipzig's 3-0 win at 1. FC Union Berlin has been named Goal of the Month for September. This was announced by RB on Thursday on the platform X, formerly Twitter. The 20-year-old Dutchman scored in the 51st minute from the edge of the penalty area directly into the top right corner to score the opening goal for the German Cup winners in their away win at Stadion An der Alten Försterei. With five assists and three goals, the Paris loanee is Leipzig's top scorer in the Bundesliga.
