Report: RB Leipzig wants to extend contract with David Raum

David Raum is now one of the central players in the RB Leipzig squad, the 27-year-old is captain - and still has a contract until 2027, which he is now set to extend according to a report.

RB Leipzig are considering a contract extension for national team player David Raum. "To be honest, a contract extension is of course a thought for us," Marcel Schäfer told Sport Bild. The 27-year-old full-back Raum "fits in perfectly with us, always leaves his heart on the pitch and is not yet finished in his development".

Raum came to Leipzig from TSG Hoffenheim in 2022 for a transfer fee of around €26 million. He is now captain of the Bundesliga club and a regular player. His current contract runs until the summer of 2027.
