RB coach Ole Werner: "I'll ask Klopp for advice"

Ole Werner is seeking contact with Jürgen Klopp in order to improve Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. The new coach of the Saxons told "Kicker". Before he signed for RB, the contact was very intensive. It's not that he calls me every day, but rather the other way around, that I can ask for advice and assessments," said Werner.

Klopp, as the top soccer boss in the RB cosmos, and his closest colleague Mario Gomez were instrumental in the signing of Werner. "I find it enriching to discuss things together, especially when it comes to putting the team together. Werner wants to stay true to himself

Despite clear guidelines for all RB teams worldwide, Werner wants to remain true to himself in his work. "We want to stand for clearly recognizable soccer with active and courageous defending. And with clear ideas in possession. We want to stand for soccer with a high entertainment value, but which is also successful," said Werner. "I was brought in as a coach for what I've done so far. I will adapt that to the circumstances in Leipzig, to the players and to the role that RB has in the Bundesliga. But I will do it my way. I'm quite good at making sure I stay on my path and do things with conviction."
