The atmosphere was tense before the game. After Hertha's victory, however, it remained calm according to the police. Most of the fans are on their way home.

After the end of the high-risk match between Hertha BSC and Dynamo Dresden, there were no clashes between fans of both teams around Berlin's Olympic Stadium, according to the police. "Everything was calm," said a police spokeswoman late in the afternoon after the hosts' 2-0 win. "There were no more incidents after the game." The departure of the fans was peaceful.

The police's concept included directing the Hertha fans along completely different routes than the Dynamo supporters. Ideally, they should not clash at all. "That worked well," said the police spokeswoman.

Before the start of the match, there was a riot

Before the start of the second division match, however, fans of both teams had sought a confrontation in the stadium. According to the police, several hundred fans from both camps tried to run towards each other on the Oberring.

However, they were stopped by police and stewards. Pyrotechnics were also occasionally set off at the entrance. Hertha fans and supporters of the club from the Saxon state capital have been rivals for a long time.
