Ryan Naderi has saved FC Hansa Rostock from a setback in the promotion battle in the second half of the 3rd soccer league. The striker, who was courted by several clubs, scored the decisive goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time in the 2:1 (1:1) win against Erzgebirge Aue. The success saw the Mecklenburg club climb to third place in the table for the time being. After their eleventh game without defeat, coach Daniel Brinkmann's team remain in the promotion battle. Auer, on the other hand, are increasingly worried about staying in the league.
In front of 26,343 spectators, Jonas Dirkner (44) put Rostock ahead with the first chance. The visitors equalized in the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time thanks to Marcel Bär.
Special goal for Bär
The goal was something special for Bär: He had suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the game in Rostock in March of last year. The goal was his first since his comeback in November.
The Auer had more to play for in Rostock. FC Hansa struggled against the visitors' compact defense. Rostock rarely got into promising shooting positions. Auer, on the other hand, created several chances.
In the second half, they had the best opportunity to take the lead: But Hansa keeper Benjamin Uphoff made a strong save after Mika Clausen's shot (60th).
