The Syntainics MBC is entering its fourth season with John Bryant. On his 37th birthday, the 2.11-meter German-American extended his contract with the Bundesliga basketball club for another two years until June 30, 2026, the MBC announced on Thursday. He has led the team as captain for the past one and a half seasons. Before his time in Weißenfels, he was voted the most valuable Bundesliga player (MVP) in 2012 and 2013 and won the German championship with FC Bayern Munich in 2014.
In addition, Daniel Zdravevski is moving from Bochum in the ProA to Weißenfels, initially for one season. The 23-year-old power forward, who is 2.07 meters tall, played as a youth player at BG Hagen in his home town and from 2017 for two years at FC Bayern Munich, with whom he became NBBL champions in 2019. One season later, he made his debut with Phoenix Hagen in the ProA, played for the Artland Dragons, Team Ehingen and last season for VfL Bochum.
