Erzgebirge Aue have signed talented defender Tristan Zobel. The 21-year-old central defender will be loaned out for a year by FC Paderborn, for whose second team Zobel mainly played, as Aue announced.
Zobel comes from the youth training center of 1. FC Kaiserslautern, then played for Rot-Weiß Koblenz and moved to Ostwestfalen in 2023. Although the defender was in the professional squad several times, he did not play a single minute in the 2nd division. Instead, Zobel made 46 appearances in the Regionalliga West and captained the second team for several months.
