Defensive lineman Mo Simakan of RB Leipzig has suffered only "a painful bruise" in the 3-0 against Union Berlin. The 23-year-old did not suffer a structural injury when Kevin Volland fouled him, the Bundesliga soccer club from Saxony announced on Tuesday. Volland had hit the Frenchman from behind on Sunday at the ankle and seen the red card. Simakan was still treated on the field and shortly thereafter replaced stricken. After the international break, the Leipzigers receive FC Augsburg on September 16.
